July 11, 2010 | | Remember when you were a kid and had the luxury of spending whole mornings and afternoons outside, running through parks, among trees, falling and scraping your knees? I remember how much I loved butterflies and how hard they were to catch. Whenever I ran after them, I could never grasp any one of them between my fingers. They were so fragile, yet focused and capable: flitting in and out of my line of sight, teasing me with color, line and movement. After visiting the Florida Fort Myers Butterfly Estates last January, I became inspired to create a series of butterfly cards, paper and canvas prints for .
